T D X T E C H N O L O G I E S P R E S E N T S : TDX Next Caller Message Version 3.00 (C) Copyright 1995 TDX Technologies ===============================================================> The Warranty Just to say that I (Ben Brown) make no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied. I shall not be held liable for ANY damages resulting from the failure of this program, including data loss, loss of profit, etc. The only thing that this program does to your hard drive OTHER than the internal workings of this program is to take up space. I shall not be held liable for any damage which may be caused directly or indirectly by the use of this program. =====================================================> So, what does it do??? It does exactly what it means. It lets a caller leave a message to the next caller, whoever that may be. Once a caller logs off [Or wherever you want it], It will ask if he/she wants to leave a message to the next caller. Then once the next caller logs on, he/she will see the message that the previous caller wrote before. Got it?? =). Well, if not, then install it anyway and try it out. It will run on BBS's that support one of the following: DORINFO#.DEF, DOOR.SYS, PCBOARD.SYS, CHAIN.TXT, and SFDOORS.DAT. ====================================> While we're on it, how do I install it? Well, quite easily! This archive should contain the following: NCM300.EXE The message writing program NCM200.DOC You're reading it! NCM300.BAT Batch File for NCM300.EXE So, if you have these files, then we can install it. First, NCM can be started from any directory, but unless it's your main BBS directory, then you can modify the batch file for your configuration, because NCM needs to find it's data file. For more information on editing the batch file, read the instructions in NCM300.BAT. NCM makes both .ANS and .ASC files of the message that the caller writes. You will need to modify NCM300.CFG for your BBS setup [See instructions in the CFG file], plus, you will have to make a menu option on your BBS for NCM. Command Line: >Use your directory and drop file where >the [ ] are. NCM needs to find the NCMWRITE [DRIVE:\PATH\DROPFILE.EXT] >drop file. Just use the different path + >drop file name for the drop file you use. ==============================================================> There you go! Ok, now NCM is ready to go! The first caller will see the message that I put in, but then the caller can write a message to the next caller, and it'll keep going! ===============================================================> Suggestions If you have any comments or suggestions about NCM, or any other TDX product that you are using, please write to me at: TDX Technologies 150 Elmridge Drive # 14 B Kitchener, Ontario, Canada N2N 1T7 or, call the TDX support BBS, at [519] 576-2002. =========================================================> Some history. . .
