                             = what's it do? =

     This utility is designed to upgrade any of the following versions
     of Renegade to v5-19.4:

          ù 10-05-94     ù 04-05-96     ù 05-11-96     ù 98101d
          ù 99044d       ù Y2Ka2        ù 11-23.3      ù 01-10.4

                             = how to upgrade =
          
     The upgrade is simple, just run UPGRADE.EXE and follow the on-screen
     directions. You'll be asked the current version of your board and
     where it's located. If you're not sure what version you're running,
     you can find out by renaming your PRELOGON.ANS to something else then
     logging in, it should be listed at the top. Newer installs also list
     the version in the first page (A) of System Configuration.

     Depending on how old your board is, you may need some extra files for
     new features (list templates, help files, etc). These will be extracted
     during the upgrade process.

     You will also have the option to install the new default menus, but be
     warned, they'll overwrite your existing ones.
